London-based 5-piece band Tapir! get ready to release ‘Act 1’ of their forthcoming debut multidisciplinary narrative album ‘The Pilgrim, Their God and The King of My Decrepit Mountain.’
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Harry Nilsson, Richard Dawson, Little Wings and Spellling, Tapir!’s album tells the story of ‘Pilgrim’, a creature embarking on an adventure through a fictional universe made up of green hills and mysterious red beings, unearthing its history and meeting all sorts of other characters along the way.
Tapir! intend to immerse listeners over time, releasing ‘Act 1 (The Pilgrim)’ as the first of 3 episodic EP’s, before compiling them into the complete album in early 2023. The band will supplement their release schedule with live shows, short films and paintings in order to help create and expand the project’s narrative universe in which the album is set.

MEGA SURF (21h30)

Des mélodies répétitives soutenues par un basse / batterie entraînant, Mega Surf s’aventure autant dans des ballades et chansons mélancoliques que dans des rythmes brisés par des guitares distordues et basses noisy. S’ajoute à cela 3 voix tantôt en canon, tantôt à l’unisson, surfant sur leurs compositions instrumentales.

Une atmosphère de douceur et d’énergie, dans un set forgé par des compositions formant une séance d’évasion musicale sur des contrées du rock encore inexplorées. Quiconque prend part à ce périple se perd au travers de rythmes escarpés, de courants de mélodies sombres et lumineuses, où la guitare survoltée déchire l’atmosphère qu’une flûte flâneuse viendra bientôt apaiser. Cinétiqua s’adresse à ceux qui veulent fuir l’écoulement de notre temps.
