Citing sources from early Dub influenced Clash, Blitz and The Modern Lovers – Spiritual Cramp exist in a strange vacuum somewhere between David Byrne’s oversized suit and a bar fight between a bunch of drunk goons on Polk Street in SF.
Hate for the police, the government and the status quo are reoccurring themes in Bingham’s lyrics. The sounds borrow from the past, echoes of late 70’s / early 80’s working class rock and punk, which function on the upbeat, showcasing very bright guitars yet generating darker vocal rhythms and darker patterning.

HALF CAB (21h00)

HALF CAB is an alternative punk rock band from The Hague. Started in a bedroom during COVID, Timothy and Mert made plans for a new band; Joris and Louie made that band complete. Together they wrote and released their debut album ‘I’d Rather Be Dead Than 40’. Since then, the band has played with numerous bands including Narrow Head (in Paris) and Bdrmm (in Doornroosje) as well as their Dutch friends POM, Bony Macaroni, Two and a Half Girl and Call it Off. 2024 marks the year of new releases, starting with “Rearview” – the first single and title track of HALF CAB’s new EP – which can be found in playlists such as New Music Friday NL, All New Rock, All New Punk, adrenaline, New Alternative and more.

Autant insolite que mystique, Bilbao Kung-Fu est né d’une fulgurance. Avec leur imaginaire pétillant sur disque, c’est au-delà du délire que les 3 francophones performent en concert. Fils cachés de l’Underground bordelais, Bilbao Kung-Fu réaffirme sa langue au sein d’un rock hybride, les mains dans la pop old-school mais toujours l’esprit ailleurs. Une découverte dont le voyage est la destination.
