À l’initiative du projet nous trouvons le chanteur/guitariste Sébastien Defiolle qui produit alors en solo ses premières compositions comme un hommage à la cold wave britannique de la fin des 70’s. Sa rencontre avec le bassiste Aurélien Jobard confirme les racines musicales du groupe tout en lui ajoutant une amplitude sonore shoegaze.\nLe mur du son de The Funeral Warehouse est enfin complété quelques mois plus tard par la batterie de Rodolphe Goujet donnant accès à des sessions lives qui ont fait la réputation du trio.
