Fondé fin 2018 par Matt Messore à Orlando\, en Floride\, le projet a commencé comme une expérience bedroom pop\, dans le home studio de Messore. Depuis\, Cathedral Bells s’est transformé en un groupe de 4 musiciens à part entière\, avec de nombreuses tournées américaines couronnées de succès.\nLa popularité du groupe s’est accrue avec le succès viral « Dayflower ». Influencée par des groupes comme Joy Division et The Cure\, leur musique mélange des mélodies mélancoliques avec des paroles introspectives\, rappelant Nick Cave et créant des paysages sonores émotionnellement résonnants. \nLeurs chansons explorent la nostalgie\, le désespoir et les complexités de l’amour\, avec des lignes de guitare obsédantes et des nappes de synthés éthérées.
