It doesn’t know what day it is\, just that it went to a party several months ago and hasn’t been to sleep since.\nThey lovingly rescue and rehouse the wretched creature in a glaas box where it contents to howl its paranoid chants all day for their entertainment and now ours. Laying out a mangled inventory of fractured memories\, haunted visions of broken people and places making a sacred ritual out of ruining themselves GLAAS are creating hymns to so many nights gone so far wrong\, from the graveyard sex to the extra bump you might have resisted had the urge to feel something not overtaken you… Employing an elevated and reinvigorated version of the ‘modern post punk with anarcho flourishes’ mode\, with whirring synthesisers and creepy keys signpost into even more disorienting territory\, GLAAS create a creepy and compelling soundtrack to the romantic nihilism of urban decay: disturbing lifestyle choices but make it sexy.\nGLAAS is emerging from the creative and gerne-bending Berlin d.i.y. scene\, with members from all over the planet. Le groupe tel qu’il existe aujourd’hui est né pendant le premier confinement. On a enregistré quelques mois plus tard au studio de la Vimondière\, en Normandie (https://studiovimondiere.com/) les titres qui figurent sur les deux EP que l’on vient de sortir\, « CONSEQUENCE » et « POISONED » qui ont été mixés en DIY total grâce aux talents de Julo. On est d’autant plus fiers !\nEn 2022\, on a fait quelques petites scènes\, essentiellement sur Paris\, en autoprod ou grâce à des associations qui déchirent (ouais EVTEVL!\, c’est vous). Se frotter à la scène nous a fait pas mal évoluer\, y compris dans l’interprétation des morceaux déjà écrits. On a sous le coude de quoi enregistrer bientôt de nouveaux sons et plein d’idées dans la tête pour tous ceux à venir !\nOn aime quand ça tape un peu fort. On commence souvent l’écriture d’un morceau par « et si on faisait un truc un peu cool cette fois »\, et on termine à 150 Bpm à claquer la semelle sur la pédale de disto. La filiation sonore est assez transparente : ça sonne 90’s\, quelque part entre Washington DC\, Chicago et Portland.
