DESCRIPTION:WELCOME TO SUPERSONIC\nConcerts gratuits\, Nuits rock et Disquaire à Paris ! \n \nBIKE THIEFS\n(Post-punk – Stomp Records – Toronto\, CAN)\nBike Thiefs\, c’est un trio post-punk un peu à mi-chemin entre Parquet Courts et une discussion de fin de soirée avec Charles Bukowski.\nFormé du bassiste Kris Pandeirada\, du batteur Andrew Fasken et du guitariste/chanteur Marko Woloshyn\, le groupe torontois inhale les influences musicales comme on peut s’attendre d’une gang de milléniaux audiophiles. Avant la formation du groupe\, Pandeirada se fait les dents à produire des beats hip-hop dans le sous-sol alors que Woloshyn se réfuge dans sa chambre pour transcrire la musique de Leonard Cohen. Fasken\, lui\, nous vient de la scène punk rock des années 2000. Il organisait alors des concerts et jouait du hardcore.\nAvec le temps\, Bike Thiefs a raffiné son cocktail de guitares tranchantes\, mélodies vocales illicites et rythmes primaux pour en faire des hymnes post-punk accrocheurs. La formation se tient occupée à tourner à travers le Canada et les USA. In 2021 Nick Mangione (Perilymph) and André Leo (Medecin Boy) joined the band. The four-piece blends big choruses with fuzz-drenched guitar feedback. The band has quickly become a name in the underground rock scene in their hometown Berlin as well as around Europe\, UK\, and the US.
