Le groupe est repéré par l’agent de Soft Cell\, puis dirigé par Daniel Miller qui le fait signer sur son label Mute Records en 1981.\nLe succès de sa synthpop au style très empreint de musique industrielle est constant jusqu’en 1990 avec l’album Violator\, incluant les titres ‘Personal Jesus’\, ‘Policy of Truth’ et surtout ‘Enjoy the Silence’. With a bond that began in preschool\, Laila Hashemi (keys/vocals) and Lexi Funston (guitar/vocals) were always inseparable\, so when they met Staz Lindes (bass/vocals) in ninth grade\, it felt like they had known her all along. Afterall\, they were a “package deal.” In high school\, they began making music together in a friend’s laundry room and their relationship just blossomed from there. When it came time to add in a drummer\, David Ruiz\, who joined the band in 2015\, fit in like he had been there all along. It’s that special bond that has solidified their relationship as bandmates who connect seamlessly to one another’s energy onstage – and best friends. And it’s the one thing that has remained a constant throughout the past two years. Like so many others\, the pandemic brought about unexpected change for The Paranoyds — both good and bad. C’est en 2017 que Cyprien “Wendy” Jacquet\, alors batteur dans plusieurs groupes\, et actuellement membre de Serpent et musicien pour Jehnny Beth\, choisit ce nom imagé pour lancer son projet solo. Après ses deux premiers EP\, le Français élit domicile à Londres avec une grande ambition : écrire son premier opéra rock. DESCRIPTION:WELCOME TO SUPERSONIC\nConcerts gratuits\, Nuits rock et Disquaire à Paris ! \n \nDION LUNADON\n(Garage punk – New York\, USA)\nBorn in Auckland\, New Zealand and now residing in New York\, Dion Lunadon played with several bands during the ’90s and 2000s\, most notably The D4\, who released two albums on legendary NZ label Flying Nun Records.\nAfter The D4 broke up in 2006\, Lunadon moved to New York City. He then started playing bass for noise rockers A Place To Bury Strangers\, appearing and writing on their studio albums Worship (2012) Transfixiation (2015) and Pinned (2018) as well as several singles and EPs. While taking a break from touring with A Place To Bury Strangers\, Lunadon recorded a self-titled solo album encompassing all that he loves about rock n roll. Previewed by the single « Com/Broke\, » Lunadon’s LP arrived in 2017 on Agitated Records. In March 2020 Dion decided to leave APTBS and concentrate full time on his own music.\nIn June 2020\, he released the song “When Will I Hold You Again” and September 2020 saw the release of the “Schreien” EP. The tracks were inspired by the histories of Auschwitz prisoners and the fates of people inhabiting surrounding lands who lived under the shadow of tragedy of the second world war.
